Agfa’s GreenWorks, green initiative was launched in 2008. To date, Agfa has designated almost 100 printers for their green printing efforts. To qualify for Agfa’s GreenWorks program, print service providers must use either Agfa Graphics’: Azura chemistry-free plates or Amigo low-chemistry CtP plates. Additionally, these companies must also be promoting cleaner and more efficient printing, using other environmentally-friendly products and be involved in other eco-friendly efforts such as recycling, waste reduction programs, use of alternative energy sources in their plants and other similar ventures.
